Terms of Service
Effective date: 22 February 2026 · Version 1.0
Please read this agreement carefully. By registering for or using the Tylu application or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who We Are
Tylu ("Tylu", "we", "our", "us") is a family tracking application operated by Cyborg Group, a sole trader based in Penarth, Wales, United Kingdom. The service is operated at tylu.uk and its web application at www.tylu.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be a parent, guardian, or carer of a child to use Tylu. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. You must not share your account with any person who is not an authorised member of your family unit.
3. The Service
Tylu provides a digital platform that allows users to:
- Log and track infant feeding sessions (breast and formula)
- Monitor formula container stock levels and brand information
- Record nappy changes, sleep cycles, and winding events
- Track weight and growth data for one or more children
- Access freely available NHS parenting and health articles within the app
- Receive admin notices, offers, and push notifications relevant to their family profile
- Manage a family unit with multiple caregiver accounts
Tylu is a tracking and reference tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnostic services, or treatment recommendations. NHS articles displayed within the application are freely accessible public content provided for informational and educational purposes.
4. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@tylu.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. Tylu cannot be held liable for any loss resulting from your failure to keep credentials secure.
One account is required per family unit. You may invite secondary caregivers (e.g. partners) who will be associated with the same family group. All members of a family group share access to that group's data.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any UK, EU, or international regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's account or data
- Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or disruptive content
- Use the service for commercial purposes without our express written consent
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Misrepresent your identity or family status
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with Tylu — including the name, logo, and application interface — are the property of the Tylu operator (Cyborg Group) and are protected under applicable intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your personal, non-commercial use.
NHS health content displayed within the Tylu application is owned by NHS England and is used in accordance with their developer API terms. Tylu is an independent application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS.
7. Data & Privacy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key principles include:
- All personal and sensitive data (names, photos, health logs) is stored encrypted
- Data is never sold to third parties in an identifiable format
- Anonymised, aggregated trend data may be shared with approved partners including baby product brands and academic or public health researchers
- We do not share data with insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, legal firms, or government agencies except where required by law
8. Offers & Affiliate Partnerships
Tylu may display offers from partner brands (e.g., formula manufacturers, baby product retailers). These offers may include discount codes or links to third-party online stores. If you choose to make a purchase through one of these links, Tylu may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This affiliate revenue helps keep the app free for all families.
Offers are presented as a benefit to users and are never the result of profiling based on identifiable personal data. You are under no obligation to interact with any offer. Clicking or claiming an offer may direct you to a third-party website governed by its own terms and conditions.
9. Third-Party Services
Tylu uses the following third-party services to operate:
- SendGrid (Twilio) — for transactional email (OTP, invites, summaries)
- NHS Content API — for baby and parenting health articles
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of third-party services.
10. Medical Disclaimer
Tylu is not a medical device and is not regulated as such. No information within the application — including NHS articles and trend-based recommendations — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. NHS content is freely accessible public information provided for educational purposes. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any concerns about your child's health, development, or wellbeing.
11. Trend-Based Recommendations
Tylu may analyse your tracking data to identify patterns and trends in your child's routine — for example, detecting several below-average winding sessions. When such trends are noticed, the app may recommend relevant NHS articles for you to read (e.g., an article on winding techniques).
These recommendations are informational suggestions only and do not constitute medical advice. They are generated algorithmically based on your logged data and are intended to support — not replace — your own judgement and the advice of qualified healthcare professionals. You are under no obligation to act on any recommendation.
12. Service Availability
We aim to keep Tylu available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause periods of downtime. We will endeavour to notify users of planned maintenance in advance.
13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently erased in line with our retention policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Tylu operator (Cyborg Group) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including medical decisions made in reliance on the app's data or content.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
17. Contact
For any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@tylu.uk or use our contact form.
