First Steps

Create Your Account

Family Setup

Add Your Child

After logging in, you'll be guided to add your first child. Give them a name, optional birthday, and — optionally — a photo. You can track multiple children and switch between them freely.

Invite a Co-parent

Go to Settings → Invite Carer. Your partner gets their own login, and you both share the same family data in real time.

3

Core Feature

Log a Feed

Tap the large Feed button on the dashboard. Select breast or formula. For formula feeds, enter the volume in ml and the brand. Tylu automatically deducts from your formula container stock so you know when to reorder.

  • Add the side (left/right) for breastfeeds
  • Log a wind session immediately after a feed
  • Add notes for anything unusual
  • Tap any log in History to edit or delete it
4

Growth Tracking

Weight, Sleep & Nappies

Beyond feeds, Tylu tracks your baby's full daily routine so you can see the complete picture at health visits or share reports with your midwife.

Weight

Log in kg. View a chart of growth over time from the Weight tab.

Sleep

Start and stop a sleep timer. Review total hours per day in History.

Nappies

Log wet, dirty, or mixed nappies with optional notes.

5

Smart Inventory

Formula Management

Never run out of formula at 2am again. Formula containers are managed per child — go to Settings → Family, tap your child's name, then Edit Child to register a tub. Enter the brand, scoops per serve, and how many scoops are currently in the container. Every formula feed log automatically deducts from the stock count.

Low Stock Alerts

When a container drops below the alert threshold (set per child), a warning appears on the dashboard so you can reorder in time.

6

NHS Content

NHS Articles

Tap Wiki in the app menu to browse articles sourced directly from the NHS. Topics include feeding, sleep, vaccinations, crying, and developmental milestones — all written by clinical experts. Tylu may also recommend relevant articles when it detects trends in your tracking data.

Important Note

NHS content within Tylu is for reference only. It is not a substitute for medical advice. Always contact your GP, health visitor, or call 111 for medical concerns about your child.

Common Questions

Yes — Tylu is completely free for families. We keep it free by providing anonymised, aggregate trend reports to approved partners such as baby product brands and academic researchers, and through affiliate offers within the app where you can access discount codes and deals.
Can I use Tylu on multiple devices?
Yes. Tylu is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Log in from any browser on any device and your data is always in sync.
How do I add another parent or carer?
Go to Profile → Invite Carer and enter their email. They'll receive an invite link and can join your family group.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised statistical data may be retained to preserve aggregate research integrity.
Is my baby's health data safe?
Absolutely. All names, photos, and health logs are encrypted with AES-256 before storage. We never sell or share identifiable data. Only anonymised, aggregate statistics are ever shared externally.
Can I use Tylu for twins or multiple children?
Yes — you can add as many children as you need and switch between them from the dashboard.
How does Tylu make money from offers?
Offers in the app contain discount codes and links to third-party stores. If you choose to buy something through one of these links, Tylu may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. You are never obligated to interact with any offer.
